Could they do a Godfather IV?

I just don't know what they could expound upon...you could do Vicent...or maybe Michael's son gets drawn into the biz. Godfather III ended in the "fictional year" 1979 so I'm sure that there is SOMETHING to work with.

no, 1 and 2 should have been left alone, coppola didn't want part 3 to be called godfater, he wanted it to be seperate for a reason, but the pressure was too high to make it part 3. i really can't see coppola doing part 4.

Coppola couldn't do it again up to the same quality of 1 and 2, but if he did I'd like to see the Corleones in action up until Tom Hagan dies. They could get Pacino and Duvall again.

You know what WOULD be good though?? Michael, Sonny, Tom, Fredo and Connie as kids...growing up in the family. We could see Fredo's incompetence and Sonny's hot-headiness...that would be good IMHO

 

Pacino said he will never do another and Duvall bailed out of GF3, there is no way he would do a fourth. Let sleeping dogs lay.

I wish there would be more good mob/gangster/mafia movies coming out. Those are my favorite movies to watch. I loved godfather parts 1 and 2. I didn't even finish part 3. Didn't care for it at all. I could see a continuation of Goodfellas and Goodfellas 2:Casino.

I'd like to see Deniro and Pesci do another gangster movie. I doubt it'll ever happen though.

If you haven't seen Miller's Crossing it's finally out on DVD and is an excellent period gangster pic.

Well, it didn't help that Coppola put his gawd-awful ugly, no talent daughter in as a "main" character in Part III. I think that she brought the movie down at least 3 notches. I had no problems with Pacino's performance and he had some excellent lines in the 3rd flick. The story-line was just all over the place though. And the incestous relationship was just UNNECESSARY!!:|:|

I did like how basically he had to pay for all his sins (killing fredo) by losing something very dear to him (his daughter).

Yeah, DeNiro needs to do something GOOD. His last few movies have been utter crap. Last good movie I saw him in was Heat. Pacino + Deniro in one movie = DA BOMB DIGGITY!
