Could the old Atoms support more than 4GB or RAM?

What do you think would happen if one were to insert 2 * 4GB modules into a board like this: GA-D525TUD ? Would that damage the board or CPU?
It has an old D525 Atom onboard that seems to only support 4GB of RAM, although being a 64-bit processor.

I doubt it will hurt anything, but it probably won't post. According to intel, it'll only see 4Gb of ram..

Yeah, even if it does support 64-bit instructions, the physical address bus is only 32-bits, meaning that there's no way to use more than 4GB of RAM even if the board does boot up with 2x4GB DIMMs.
