Hey Folks Leaf COULD still be a good QB.

He had a HORRID head coach his First Year(Gilbride). When the coach turned on him, the team turned on him. Manning would have been hard pressed to succeed in that senario. Yes Leaf is a hot head, can any one name the QB who was launched by glanville after his rookie year?

Now I don't think it is likely that leaf will be the next coming of god, but he does have the physical tools to be a great QB. It is just a matter of the cowboys getting his head sraight.

And what did the cowboys give up to get him? Nothing!

Ryan Leaf is like Jeff George...the cancers of the NFL. The Cowboys are giving up quite a bit in getting him. Namely their shame...

Yes, both QBs have great arms, but being able to throw 75 yards down field really doesn't help when you consistently throw it to the wrong person all the time. Most of the game is mental prowess. I can think of plenty of QBs who don't have the greatest arm but are some of the best QBs out there: Jeff Garcia, Doug Flutie, Donovan McNabb, Brian Griese, etc...How many QBs do you know who have great arms, but can't think and are great QBs?
