My gf and I couldn't finish the movie because we were bored to death.. we ended up erm... doing more exciting things..

I no longer have the movie.. and I'm curious about the ending.. here are some Qs.

1. what is that excruciating headache?
2. why did the telemarketer/reporter got all evil towards the end? who was she and what did she want?
3. In the scene where he witnesses a brain in the bucket, when he pokes at it, it hurts him as if the brain was his.. what was going on?
4. How does it end? What is the movie all about and how does it wrap up?

thx

They eat it...it's cherry. ;)

Edit: "When you die, if you get a choice of going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it isn't, mmmmm boy!"

1) The headaches are coming from the fact that this number is in his head... he has it...but it is killing him because it is so "big", bigger than him, bigger than anything. It is hinted at a lot, and the scene with the Jewish Rabbis comes out and says it. Go watch that scene and you may understand.

2) The woman was actually an executive from a stock firm, and she wanted max to give her the number because it held the key to the stock market, like max was trying to figure out. But he only gave her part of the number, so whent he market crashed, she flipped.

3) He is in one of his migrane induced hallucinations. I am not too clear about this, but I think it is representative of how he is dying/killing himself in a way.

4) It ends when he realizes that the number is inside him, and that it is killing him. The thing growing on his head is a physical effect of the number, kinda like a cancer thing. At the end, we see that Sol had a stroke... and Max finds a piece of paper with the number written on it. Max realizes how big this number is, how powerful it is, basically because it holds the key to everything in the universe. He realizes how dangerous it is, so he destroys all knowledge of it. We see this when he burns the note, then he drills the "thing" on his head, representative of the number in him. In the last scene, we see that he no longer has his extraordinary math skills, and how he is happy now because he finally has peace.
