I have to ship out a 19inch LCD monitor, and I was wondering what the best and safest way to pack it would be.

Thanks

Back in the original box it came in with its original packing. That is the best packing....what the manufacturer put it in. Of course, you do save the boxes your major components come in, right? :)

Ups shipping store, mailboxes etc... get them to pack it then you are off the hook if damage occurs, get insurance!!!!

Wrap the LCD monitor in bubble wrap. Put in a box slightly larger than its dimensions, and add filler (peanuts, newspaper, foam, etc.). Put this box into another larger box, fill with more filler (the really big bubble packs work best).

It would be good if you could find a thin metal sheet that could be used to protect the LCD screen from scrapes or puncture. Then use several layers of bubble wrap set in clothing or packing peanuts.

FedEx sells a laptop box that may just work. It has special cutouts and such to size down the padding and such. You should check it out.

I would suggest a somewhat thick piece of cardboard taped across the front suspended by the bezel to protect the LCD from pressure marks.
