Could someone help me with this port forwarding?

So I'm trying to setup Azureus right now and I get a message saying:

UPnP: Mapping 'UDP tracker client port (UDP/6881)' failed

and

UPnP: Mapping 'Incoming Peer Data Port (TCP/6881)' failed

I've messed around with Azureus and according to the program port 6881 is open.

My router is a Microsoft MN-700. I've tried to setup port forwarding but I know nothing about it.

Here's a screenshot I took of the port forwarding page.

Are ports 6881-6889 outbound ports? Which inbound ports do I open?

Is that the only port forwarding screen you get?

Have a link for the manual? I can't find it on Microsoft's site.

first off, thanks for the reply

I have two options of port forwarding:

Application-Triggered Port Forwarding

and

Persistent Port Forwarding

When I click on Help on the page I took a screenshot of this is what it says:

To establish application-triggered port forwarding

1. On Application-triggered port forwarding page of the Base Station Management Tool, in the available Description box, type a description of the program that you want to enable.
2. In the Outbound port box, type the number of the outbound port. The outbound port should be one number from 0 through 65535. To determine which port the program uses, consult the documentation for the program.
3. In the Trigger type drop-down list, click the protocol that the program uses. The protocol should be specified in the documentation for the program.
4. In the Inbound port(s) box, type the inbound port. The inbound port can be a single port or a comma-separated list of ports or port ranges. For example, you could type 4-25, or 243, or 10, 24-50, 74. You are limited to 256 characters.
5. In the Public type drop-down list, click the protocol that the program uses. The protocol should be specified in the documentation for the program.
6. Click Add to add the program to your list of your programs. You can now enable, disable, edit, or delete the port-forwarding you have set up.

I found the manual thanks to google. :p

I think persistent port forwarding would be a little bit more straight forward.

Inbound port: 6881
Type: TCP
Private IP address: your workstation's ip
Private port: 6881

Click add. :)

Hmm...seems too simple...

I thought I read somewhere that I need to open port 6881-6889...?

And why do I have a UDP error if I'm only opening the TCP port?

edit: let me rephrase that last question

Will I still have a UDP error if I'm only opening the TCP port? Do I need to do anything with the UDP?

I didn't think bittorrent used UDP. If you get an error, try duplicating the TCP entry, but with UDP in the Type field.

The trigger entries looked fine to me, but I don't know a whole lot about that.

From the azureus user guide:
So, what are NAT problems?

NAT is Network Address Translation, which means that there is something between your PC and the internet making the connection. This device can be either a firewall or a router, and it needs to be properly configured for Azureus to run.

§ For a firewall, you need to open the ports used by Azureus in TCP. By default from 2.0.6.0 on, it is only port 6881.

§ For a router, you need to forward the ports used by Azureus in TCP. By default from 2.0.6.0 on, it is only port 6881.

So to solve that kind of problem, please refer to your manual to set up your device correctly.
