Could someone explain cpu burn in to me plz?

I'm very confused as to this whole burn in stuff...I've heard good stuff about it but what I want to know is what is burn in?? and how do I accomplish this burn in??? I have a p3866 on a asus cuv4x mobo on a 133fsb... now I hope to achieve a 148-155fsb at a vcore of no higher than 1.85... so how would I go about burning in my cpu and how long should I burn it in at??? thanks for any info you can give me
 
I think it's just like stressing ur o/c-ed system continously for a time period with programs like Sandra/Prime95 to see if the machine is stable. Not 100% sure if that's what u mean by "burn in"
