Could short in L1 bridges fry Mobo?

If there were a short in the l1 bridges (i.e., two L1 bridges were connected with lead from pencil technique), could that destroy a Motherboard?

Was wondering the same thing..
Out of all the OverClocking pages I have visited have not found a good one yet.. They all seem to be old talking like bridges come unlocked of they go on and on on the theory of overcolcking.. I don't want that crap I want step by sept morron help for idiots like me
