Vista is frustating me to no ends. My current battle is with this.
Ive got two computers, this one runnig Vista Home Pro, the other running XP Pro. My account name on the old system is Main User and it's ip is 192.168.1.2.
I've mapped a network drive for it folder \\192.168.1.2\Old Data, set different username to 192.168.1.2\Main User and the password. Checked reconnect at login.
Now when Vista restarts it gives me a popup stating it could not reconnect all network drives. And in the file explorer, the network drive is crossed out. Double clicking on it will ask me for username/password. Again typing those in will open up the network drive.
How are you suppose to allow it to auto-login? This used to work when I was running eval version of 2003.
Edit: Ok I got both computers on the same workgroup MSHOME, still no change. :frown:
