"Could not perform fixation" error writing CD. How to fix?

just got a new Cendyne 48x16x48. tried to write a CD, but I keep on getting the same error: "Could not perform fixation"
anyone know how to fix this? I'm using Nero that came with it and running WinXP Pro on a PIII 550

yeah, i tried using Fuji (TY), the one that came with the burner, and some maxell

I had this same problem. Go to Nero's site and download the latest version.

it still doesnt work.

WinXp is your problem, disable "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service"

(quick search in google, btw)

supposedly, XP tries to access the CD before nero finishes burning, hence, BOOM POW CRASH BAM, stuff.

yeah, i tried that too (i did the search on google to find that)
it still didnt work
