Could not connect printer to port

Any help on this would be mucho appreciated.

We log into a remote win2k terminal server through remote desktop connection. When we print to our local usb printer through the terminal server we get "Could not connect printer to port" error box. When we click ok it still prints to the local printer but I would like to avoid that extra step and not get that error.

Any ideas?
