Could I upgrade my RAM to a gig?

I have a Satellite A75-S211 Toshiba laptop, and the 512 RAM is getting really annoying when I'm trying to load all sorts of different random programs.

What do I need to do if I want to get a gig? What sort of things do I look for as far as compatibility. I know there is memory speed and wattage, correct?

Best thing to do is head over to Toshiba's website and look up your model. They will have a listing of available upgrades, use that as your reference as to the specs you need to look for.

You should also determine if that 512MB is one or two sticks. More then likely you have two 256MB sodimms in there.
