I was just thinking, lets say in a year or so down the road I want to add another 1Gb to my computer, will I be able to and leave the memory frequency @ 400Mhz? I heard on socket 754 you can only have 1Gb and anything more will not work correctly, or at its full speed? Im using 2x512 right now, and i have another DIMM left. Check sig to rig info.

depends on your chip...

do you have a CG revision chip?

CG revisions have better mem controllers and allow you to run a lot more memory than with the C0 revision chips and at higher fsbs....

you never know. you Might be able to. I dont see any reason except for the fact that youre using 3 sticks to get 2GB of ram instead of 2 sticks.
