Could I put 10 NICs in a computer?

Say I'm able to put 10 NICs in my computer (PCI, USB, whatever), and I connect them all to a hub and use DHCP (I think I can get unlimited through my university). Would I have 10 separate IPs, and if so, could I run server software separately on each of the 10 IPs?

or, with win2k and winxp you could assign seperate IP's to a single NIC

may be a bit easier to do that than to somehow get 10 NICs in a single computer

i am using winxp, could you enlighten me on how to do this?

do I need DHCP? (i kind of broke my DHCP and don't feel like fixing it) but I can make up IPs and they'll work
also is it likely that this will work with my University connection?

its cool.. its just that the knowledgeable network gurus who should be able to answer your q's hang out there 🙂
