I want to swap out the fan in my Dell as its a bit noisy but considering the reputation that Intels have for creating heat, I would like to ask first before plunking down money for a fan.
Now I know that this probably wouldn't work with a standard heatsink but the heatsink in the Dell is actually a pretty impressive looking unit. Its a "tower" heatsink that has a copper base with 6 heatpipes(!) sticking out of it. It has aluminum fins and looks quite efficient at trasnfering heat. It looks similar to the one they use to cool the Dell Renegade at 4.25ghz....
