I don't see why you can't. Only thing to be warned of is your PC's Bluetooth support of simultaneous devices. My older 2008 laptop supports more than one Bluetooth device (a speaker and mouse) but my newer 2014 workstation only seems to want to connect to one at any time.
I'm pretty sure it has something to deal with the Bluetooth software stack. The default Microsoft one seems to have no issue. I unfortunately cannot uninstall to get back to the MS default on my workstation. However, the default MS stack only supports standardized features... like no shared Internet over Bluetooth.
2nd thing is the lag.... apparently if all else fails, the PS4 controller can be used by USB.

You could go with a used controller at GameStop. If it doesn't work, you have 1-2 weeks to return it without issue. Then you could buy a new one, if it works and you don't like having a used controller.
