Could a peripheral cause difficulties in OCing?

I'm wondering if a wireless PCI card could interfere with overclocking efforts. Has anyone had better results OC'ing without things plugged into their board?

Any fairly modern decent board should allow you to lock the PCI and AGP busses at their proper speeds. If your board doesn't allow that, then you can indeed run into cards that do not like the out of spec bus speeds caused by overclocking.
