Question Could a laptop's processor be upgraded with USB 4?

I was wondering, as USB seems to be able to do more and more, and gets faster and faster over time, do you think it would ever get to the point where a laptop with 6 or so USB ports could
essentially have the cpu ability upgraded by adding one to three tiny external processors in a USB package?

Laptops are hard to retro upgrade because everything is tied to the main board for the most part. If it's split there's a chance for a daughter board replacement but, the CPU needs to be capable of the speeds as well. Right now that's going to be ADL based systems.

On the desktop side there's more flexibility as you can get cards with the redrivers on them to do the heavy lifting.
