*COUGH COUGH WHEEZE WHEEZE* Nasty Perfume *CHOKE CHOKE*

We just got a brand new contractor that wears the nastiest perfume ever. Whenever she comes into my office to ask a question, she stinks up the place BADLY. I mean, it's awful. I thought perfume was meant to be an aphrodisiac, but this perfume almost makes me want to hurl -- literally! 🙁

She's from India, so (ignorant, uneducated me) I wonder if the perfume she's wearing has something to do with the Indian culture. I don't mean to sterotype here, but I don't know anybody else that uses such disgusting perfume.

More importantly, how do I get her to stop wearing it? I don't want to be rude to her, but it's really hard for me to function when she's around me. Right now I'm lightheaded and have a slight headache. The smell's still around, and she hasn't been around for about 5 minutes. I can't go on like this day after day after day. :disgust: HELP!

If it makes you want to puke, don't worry about being rude.
...you could have bad allergies, then you *would* puke, and be bedridden for the next day because of it.

Hahah - I know exactly what you mean, in a way. A few of our CSR ladies wear perfume, not really bad smelling, but TONS of it - when they come around its like the oxygen in the air starts getting sparse. Typically, I have to leave my workstation for a few minutes. You can also follow them because of the trail of smell..heh.

There's a couple women at work who wear strong stuff. I have to hold my breath when I'm in the same area. :|
