Has anyone used this case? I've been looking at ditching my very large and very aged CM Stacker case. I was looking at some of the NZXT Source cases and similar when I come across the Cougar cases. I didn't even realize Cougar made cases and they seem pretty damn good for their price.

how much is it?

i personally never heard of cougar (here is a video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMT6AVTRzTo ); and since there are so many excellent cases on the market, i would go with a known brand.

any reason that you like this case? just looks, or do you need water cooling?

I know of them for their fans. I like the way the case looks and it's price/features isn't bad. It's $48 shipped at newegg.

I'm sure it's a decent Case, but I would never get a case with that HD orientation again. HD Drives are so much better side mounted and there are so many Cases in all price categories that do that simple thing that this Case shouldn't even be considered, IMO. Otherwise that Case seemed alright, not spectacular, but alright.

I'm alright with it not being spectacular without the added price :p
As for the haf, I thought about it, but it's a good bit higher and at that price point, there are other options. I'm not bothered much about the HDD layout really, I won't be moving them in and out much. Just worried about the gpu length hitting them.

Sounds like you've sold yourself on that case at any rate.

Not much point in advice then.

Not completely, lol. There are offerings from nzxt, Thermaltake and a few others at the same price point.

i would go with a fractal designs S (or even a R4/R5), because of the astounding quality and the noise dampening (windowless > windowed), but really, when it comes to cases, it's mostly looks over functionality. you need to look at that case every day for years.
so ..
the case you pointed seems fine. if you like the way it looks, buy it.
