I'm not sure if it's a $330 computer case, or some weird prop from 1960 Star Trek series. ;)

I came across it on Newegg's main page, and thought to myself "That's one fugly case right there!".

Edit: This proves that it IS possible to over-do "RGB".
I'm not a big fan of RGB, and I think some people go way overboard with it (power supply, RAM, SSD, case, case fans, CPU cooler, etc), but it's their money. For me, the insane amount of light would be distracting.

I have to say, I have seen several cases that have an RGB line on the front of the case, or maybe the logo lights up, and some of those look pretty sharp. The RGB has to accent the case design, and not be the "center stage" or "look at me" main attraction.

I run RGB RAM, even though I can't actually see it, because my PC is in a cubby, but that's because it was the first "cheap" set "for AMD" that was rated DDR4-3600. (TridentZ RGB, looking at you.) Timings aren't great (18-22-22-xx), but it runs flawlessly @ XMP/DOCP settings in my Asus mobo, even with two kits (4x8GB DDR4-3600, FCLK 1800).

Well, "flawlessly enough". Had to hit RESET on PC this morning, wouldn't wake monitor from sleep. Not sure if it's a system-related problem, or purely GPU or drivers. (I have an RX 5700 XFX reference blower as primary, and a GTX 1660ti Gaming X as secondary, and I mine on both in the background.)

I wouldn't buy the case in the OP, but would totally use it if I got it for free, lol

It looks like it's a fairly normal case inside a big plastic RGB shell. Nothing extraordinary there.

i dont mind the lower trapezoidal glass over the rgb fan bit, but the rest is just an abomination esthetically. which is a shame as there are some interesting features like the slidable mb tray.

this and some of the inwin high end concepts are just open air chassis with some style bits tacked on the front. the problem being they need to find a bunch of actual fine artists who specialize in industrial motifs to design the exterior vs asking the guy from the in-house art department who does gpu shrouds to go crazy.

Linus from LinusTech already showed you can over-do RGB.
Its called every single build from LinusTech, even down to their NAS, and Servers.

You know 10 yrs ago, it was MOAR COARS.... now its MOAR RGB~!!
I blame Millenials... (sarcasm since they are blamed for everything.)

Yeah it is gauche, no I’d never use a case like this, I’d never use more than moderate lighting at most, currently I have nearly zero aspirations to incorporate RGB.
I am glad there is some excitement in building machines again.

Never understood the concept of paying good money for high end psu with clean output then proceed to pollute it with led drivers...

20 years ago when i was 20 years younger and it was also 20 years in the past, MAYBE i would have considered that monstrosity, but after working on a Fractal Define R4 i cannot imagine working on any other PC case.

Case lights are hardly anything new. 15 years I ago we had to custom cut our side panels to put a window in, and instead of LED's we used cold cathodes. LED's are now just cheap and easy. Nothing wrong with it.

Personally I like the gentle blue lighting I use in my own case.
