costumize background color in Word

I don't think you can. I spent a long time trying to do the same thing, but Word turned out to be the one app I couldn't customize entirely to my liking. About the best that you can do is under Tools, Options, General, select "Blue background, white text." As if that's any better on my eyes!
But if someone knows a way I'd like to know too.
