Costume Party...Theme: White Trash

My girlfriend just told me that she and her roommate's having a costume party with 'white trash' being the theme. I don't really care about the party, I just think its tacky and would rather not have anything to do with it. But she thinks its hilarious and loves the idea. Do you guys think its tacky at all or would you be fine with something like that?

We're both Asian-Americans...her roomate's French-Native American.

I think people go about life looking for things to be offended at. I believe it somehow validates their misery.

Anyway, get yourself a nice mullet and some old milwaukee beer and maybe some road-kill.

I think in this case people are getting lazy at being creative. If your gf or her roomie think they are "oh so creative" with this theme, please let them know they are not.

Oh well, show them up weeks later with a "Rockstar/Groupie of different eras" costume party.

paint urself white... then glue some banana peels, tissues, newspapers, soda cans onto ur shirt (possibly white also)

meh,

back in college we had a white trash party, then off-set it with a ghetto night. Brought the chicks in, in slutty clothes. It worked as far as i'm concerned. Just a reason for people to come and get wasted.

I think the trailer park was originally invented in the Pacific NW.

Anyway, my point was that just there just as many (percentage-wise) black people who know black gangsters as white people who know white trash.
