does anyone know Costco's return policy?

i heard that you can basically return ANYTHING back to costco even if it's been open and used, and that there isn't any real time period for it?

is this true, can someone verify?

would i be able to return a router if i've opened the box and used it already, for maybe 2 months?

thanks

2 months i think it is pushing it. but hey you can try, we pay a membership for a reason. For the most part they are good with returns.

You can take virtually anything back, even without the box. Proof of purchase would be nice, credit card receipt or something similar. Costco is the best.

haha costcos return policy...

I've been able to return open ram strips, open media, and a boxless tv...

But...I've seen people return open packages of salmon, halibut, steak, cake flowers, and frozen food!

I took back an air conditioner unit a YEAR LATER without the receipt, it wasn't put nicely back into the box either, something was cracked so they took it back no questions asked.

If you do not have a receipt they will give you the price on their computer system because they scan the UPC into their computer system. So if you bought your router at regular price for $99, a few months later it was discounted down to $69 then you will get the most recent price which was $69, not $99.

they will take back anything, their return policy is IMO great, but very susceptable to abuse. i've personally witnessed people returning things that a person with any ethics at all, wouldn't even consider returning. let your conscience be your guide.

my mom said that she saw someone returning an empty bottle of milk and she overheard the person say it was rotten so they poured it out.

C-o-n-s-c-i-e-n-c-e? what's that...I took back a 5 year old scanner...never scanned right and finally found the receipt. Figured, what the hay...the assist.manager said no way, but I asked for the General Manager, Ended up getting the Regional Manager, who was cute...I sweet talked her and she let me return it. Was able to get my full $350 for that piece of crap.

I would definately take food back, the ground beef has been rank the last few times..
