The are the same thing except BJ's are more urban-oriented Ramen-Noodle-Fun-Pack distribution centers vs Costco's Suburbia scheme.

on the other hands

Blojo** are DEFNITEINETLY better than going to Costco...unless you get one at the Costco;)

My choice is Sams club, then Costco, then BJ's.

I don't know about costco in other areas, but the one here has lousy hours, closing early every day. They have a good variety of stuff tho..

I belonged to BJ's when they first opened around here years ago and had a one month free trial membership a few months back - hasn't improved or changed at all. They're not horrible, just not my first choice. Maybe it's just the one in my area but it is smaller with less choices than the others IMO.

I wish there was a Sam's Club around here. But then again, I wish there was a Walmart around here too. I don't think there are any Walmarts in the NYC area.

looks like they've saturated the east coast...ohio is as far west as they get.

as for costco/samsclub, I have both now and like samsclub better.

Well, I only have a Costco, so I don't know.

Same here. On another note did anyone ever have a Pace around them? I'm not sure if they were national but we had one here in Salem Oregon. Same type of store as costco, except better imo. Opened at about the same time as costco but got owned by them and only lasted about a year. I miss that place :(

I have a BJ's membership. I was actually trying to choose between Costco's and BJ's and ended up going with BJ's because I just wanted to buy food in bulk and BJ's is just like a grocery store but cheaper cuz everything is in bulk

I thought that my friend told me there was one just off I-80 in Hackensack.

You are right. I just checked the Walmart site. Strange thing is, I am right in the middle of 5 stores with the closest one 19 miles away and the farthest one 24 miles away.

I was in a Costco in California. I wasn't too impressed. I prefer BJ's over Sams club and Costco.
