Well Walmart has more selection but if you buy in bulk, Costco is cheaper. I always shoped at Costco for groceries when I was in the U.S. Now that I live in Spain, I buy them at mom&pop groceries, fresher, juicier, and just a bit more expensive.

Most grocery stores are regional, so it'd help to know where you live. Wegman's is the best around here IMO.

What about Target?

Target has fruits/veggies/meat/etc?

super targets do.

I found costco/bj's and something like an Albertsons/Publix/Winn Dixie is the only way to get most stuff.

We also stop at the asian market for specific items. The groceries have them usually but they are about 5x the price.

Don't use your American Express cards at Walmart, if you shop there. Read where Amex is cutting credit lines on some card members, based on where they shop. Walmart seems to be one of those places. Figures, since Amex is in bed with Costco.

I think it has more to do with coincidence than Amex targeting a retailer.

Those that are typical walmart shoppers probably can't afford the credit limit hit though.

Didn't say they were poor, but Wal Mart's target demographic is low to mid class...

Costco is great.... if you're feeding a family of five or larger. Otherwise, those packages are just too large to be practical.

I'm a Super Stop N Shop guy myself... which is a big Northeast chain.
