You could've just put your burger out in the sun for 30 secs, it would've melted the cheese in this SoCal heat.I tried it. It was oh kay. Large burger. I would have preferred less well done meat and the cheese was not melted. Melted cheese makes a huge difference imho.

I expect it to be of the same quality as their bbq beef sandwich, chicken bake, or chicken salad.
Meaning fine for those who care more about dollars than taste.
never tried the salad, hard to f u c k that up
take the blandest most boring salad you can imagine. now make it blander and cheaper.
Around here its a Caesar, so the dressing should be okay in reality.
the salad, like the bbq beef brisket sandwich, is conceptually fine. it looks good on paper because the costco items are based on proven combinations.
However, when you actually eat these items you can feel your taste buds dying.
I had the BBQ sammich once, it was okay. The chicken bake I also tried, didnt care for that at all, but the girls at my local one say they can be different from store to store, never tried the salad, hard to f u c k that up.
I always buy two hotdog combos and donate the second cup to anyone nearby.

At first glance, $5 seems like a lot, only b/c hot dog combo + pizza slice is less than that.
But 1/3 lb burger, if tasty, could be worth the $5. I'd be willing to try it at least once.
Most places use Kraft American cheese. That's the best cheese to use on a burger. It does and it is better unmelted. Fucking hate melted cheese on most burgers, especially the shit that doesn't even qualify as actual cheese that way too many places use. I'm surprised they haven't gone to injecting the patties with it instead actually.
