OP I'm curious what kind of protein these contain, I Googled and couldn't find the label.

So much better to make homemade protein shakes using my "special blend" and bottle them myself.

looks like a mix of the main three.

What is the cholesterol like? I've been trying to avoid any of the high cholesterol mixes(most of them are the 100% whey) and have been pretty well set on the Met-RX line for a bit now. Very good, not as chalky as most, and mixes well with water.

These RTD (ready to drink) shakes are sooo much more convenient than mixing your own.
I mixed my own for years.
Powders are tough to mix well enough so you don't get chunks and you have to clean up the shaker bottles.
These RTD shakes are silky smooth with no cleanup. To me, the cost per serving is worth it. ($1.50 ea)

Side effects may include: Horrible smelling gas, pee and poo.

I found the best way to get rid of the chunks with a powder was to mix it the night before and grab from fridge on my way out the door. I had to throw in a couple ice cubes in the morning to keep it from going bad. (learned it the hard way, was drinking 3 hours after leaving)

+1

Also, the blending depends on the quality of the powder. ON and Syntha 6 blend like a dream. Syntha actually tastes better than any pre made protein shake I've seen on the market.

my friend used to work at premier protein/joint juice, I got these for free form her and they taste awful IMO.

the joint juice glucosamine supplements are pretty good though

Rtd's are a huge waste of money unless you need something that you can take with you and are unable to refrigerate.

Hate to disappoint you, but those shakes do not give me bad gas. It is your personal problem :p
