only 2 ingredients:
peanuts and salt

so the oil separates from the peanuts.

you gota shake the container to mix it back up.

Peanut butter that you have to Shake before using :Q

it's great. you can EASILY spread it on untoasted bread.

unfortunately, i apparently like the taste of hydroxinated oils in the regular peanut butter brands like Jif and Skippy. these just have more taste. :(

Yep, great stuff, I think I'll have some in a few minutes for breakfast. Their natural almond butter is excellent too.

Hydroxinated? Hydroginated.

Edit: Also, the better flavor in Skippy and Jiff is probably also due to added sugar.

Best thing to do is buy a $5.99 plastic bottle of peanuts, not dry-roasted at Costco. Put them in your Cuisinart and in 3 minutes you have homade fresh peanut butter.

neat to know... I came across a recipe a couple years ago that called for peanut oil and I was never able to find it in the grocery store.

Alright people, knock it off with the nested quotes, unless you'd like complimentary vacations on the USS Garbage Scow. It's not as luxurious as it sounds.

Seriously? Planters Peanut Oil is everywhere...

Natural PB is the shit. You can't begin to compare it with the "store" stuff, the JIF, Skippy, et al. Besides all the sugar/corn syrup and nasty trans-fat oils they clog that crap with, I find the natural stuff tastes better too.

even non-natural will separate if not used soon enough.

never heard to shake it though...usually you stir.

More likely it's the sugar in Jif and Skippy that makes them more tasty to you.

I can barely eat the hydrogenated "normal" PBs (jiff, skippy, pan, etc.) after spending so much time only eating the natural/organic variety. I much prefer the taste of peanuts to that of sugar.
