Reminder? Really, people need a reminder? This shut down human activity on the whole fucking planet.

I still see couples going grocery shopping where the dude just pushes the cart while the woman shops.

Not to mention there are still loads of people just dilly-dallying around the store, spending minutes staring at a shelf of food and trying to figure out what they want.

Nothing gets through to the really stupid, i.e. trumpanzees. Daughter was ranting that she saw a family of inbreeds in the store. 6 fucking kids, none older than 10 or 11, only the mother had a mask, which of course was under her chin, and daddy had 6 more children (assuming they were all his) than he had teeth in his head, and a trump shirt he had cut the arms out of to make a wife beater.

I'll take "This Didn't Happen" for $1000, Alex.

Hey... when toilet paper is on your shopping list and Costco is totally out of it... I can imagine that people got lost perspective and got pissed off at the employees about that earlier on.

If Costco extends everybody’s current memberships by a couple months, gratis, I’ll consider renewing otherwise I think I’m done with them.
you know you dont need a card to shop at costco, just purchase a few gift cards before your membership is up and then use those to extend your purchases. (you purchase as much as you like and use the 10 or 20$ gift card to purchase + cash or card of your choice).. i dont have to wait in line at costco since i work in a hospital :p its cool but the costco i go to usually doesnt even have a line when i go. As far as meat i actually have a freezer full of turkey chicken beef and pork i knew this would happen just took longer than i thought for it to start. I usually buy my meat from the butcher instead of costco and we have 90,000+ cows within 15 miles of me so i think ill be OK. as far as masks i have been wearing a n95 with a surgical mask over it for what seems like 2 months now rotating 20 diff n95's. Still have a SHITLOAD of small n95 that dont fit my face :( and my wife almost never uses any of them so they just sit

My entire town is going "Face masks required."

Ocean Shores Mayor Crystal Dingler this week issued two executive orders, the first requiring that “All persons shall wear a face covering when they are interacting with others who are not members of their household in public and private spaces,” and the second extending indefinitely the closure of drive-on beach approach roads in the city, while ending the midnight to 5 a.m. curfew and reopening public restrooms.

The face mask order, issued Wednesday, also gives detailed requirements for local businesses, including social distancing, cleanliness, sanitizing and use of gloves. The order runs through June 30.

Dingler told The Daily World that “my concern is more people coming into town.” She said she was ordering an open-ended extension of her March 23 order closing all driving beach approaches in the city. She said opening those depends in part on what the state’s parks and natural resources departments do, as well as whether Grays Harbor County continues to keep its beach approach roads closed.

The face mask part of Wednesday’s order reads, in part:

“Specifically, this order states that people must wear face coverings when:

“a. Inside public spaces or waiting in line to enter public spaces

“b. When seeking healthcare

“c. Waiting for or riding on mass transit or other shared transportation, or waiting in line anywhere

“d. In common areas of buildings, such as hallways, stairways, elevators and parking facilities

“e. Employees in areas where the public is present, likely to be present, or at any time when others are nearby

“f. Employees in any space where food is being prepared and/or packaged for sale or distribution

“g. Drivers/Operators of public transit.”

Regarding social distancing in business settings, the order states that businesses shall:

“a. Require employees and customers/visitors entering the premises of stores and businesses in Ocean Shores to maintain 6-feet social distancing as much as reasonably possible

“b. Limit the number of customers entering the premises to facilitate social distancing at store entrances, throughout store and at check-out lines.

“c. Where aisles may cause problems with social distancing, Stores shall limit to one-way movement through aisles

“d. Require all workers to stay at least six feet away from customers and coworkers, or provide plexiglass or other physical barriers

“e. Temporarily mark six-foot increments (using adhesive colored tape, chalk, etc.) on the ground or floor to ensure social distancing

“f. Post large print attention-grabbing signs readable from a distance (or use portable, electronic reader boards) that inform customers of social distancing practices

“g. Designate an employee or employees to monitor and facilitate distancing

“h. Discontinue self-serve unpackaged processed foods, free sample stands and product demonstrations.”

Dingler said she expects the signage businesses must post (paragraph f) to include the requirement that everyone on-site wear faced masks, and that businesses should deny admission to those not wearing face masks.

The order also requires businesses to:

“a. Supply hand-sanitizer in public and employee restrooms. Require workers to wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least twenty seconds, such as when they arrive at work, leave their workstations for breaks, eat, use tobacco, and after handling money.

“b. Use sanitizing cleaner frequently on touchable surfaces such as shopping cart and shopping basket handles, counters, door handles, door push areas, seating, rented pedal/electric/motorized vehicles, vehicles used on business premises, and other frequently touched surfaces.

“c. Provide gloves and require that they are used for cart retrievers, handling money, common use of the same workspace, food safety, restocking, and cleaning, or where there is a likelihood of touching another person.”

As with all executive orders, these must be approved by the Ocean Shores City Council, which has thus far okayed all of Dingler’s COVID-19 related executive orders. Both will likely see council action at their next regular meeting, May 11.

AFAIK, we've had two cases of China Flu here...and 12 in the county.

Costco is 60 miles away, so we don't go that often. Last was in early March, and I screwed up. I bought TP, as I thought we needed some, and picked up another pack as I thought our daughter wanted some. Neither was true.... so we still have 2 unopened packs of Costco TP.

For the first time in 30 years, we're planning to drop our Costco membership. We're ~75 miles from the nearest one.

I saw at Walmart on Friday a woman and her husband no masks, they had 2 babies in one of those dual baby strollers and then they had like a 3 year old and they had no mask either with a full cart of food. All huddled together, while the person behind them in the line had no mask and was right up in their ass. I almost said something but i decided to bite my lip. I did shake my head a little bit in disagreement and they certainly saw me doing it and the wife whispered some shit to the father figure. I would have DARED them to say ANYTHING like bring it bitch, lets go! I wouldn't hurt her physically as violence isn't in my nature but her but YEAH i would have prob said something and i am not usually confrontational but i would have made a exception for this. I was pissed off.

I almost think they did this shit on purpose to make some sort of statement, not like the husband/boyfriend could not stay home with the kids. Its not Walley World where getting there is half the fun. Its grocery shopping and it takes ONE person to get food unless your completely disabled in a wheel chair then ok bring someone to reach those items up top or do heavy lifting of various things or to help scan/bag the stuff at least.

Hey... if Boomer wants to wear a mask (even though they don't really work all that well), he certainly can. Forcing him to do it in a low risk area is stupid, though.

So you want to wait until COVID-19 spreads and THEN react. Worked great for Trump and the US, yeah?

Family Dollar shopper shoots guard dead for being asked to wear a mask.

WOW i almost teared up reading that, man that is beyond tragic. They NEED to make a example of this person they arrested for the shooting. I am all for a eye for a eye, tooth for a tooth. That was cold calculated murder caught on film. Not even Karma is good enough for this person and i strongly believe in it, he belongs UNDER the cell or DEAD. All the guard did was tell the mother to put a mask on the kid. He only did his job and was looking for out for the kid.

When cold calculated murders happen over this thing that shall not be named, i seriously think anything less then a optional legal worldwide execution done by the hands of the victims family is being merciful. I am usually a VERY forgiving person but this is where even i put my foot down.

I'm honestly surprised that hasn't already happened before in Michigan. With all of those guys walking around with semi-automatic weapons during the latest protests, it seems like a powder keg just waiting to go off.
