Michelins and select BF Goodrich tires. I bought a set of Michelins online last week from Costco. They arrived today at Costco, and to my surprise I saw they had $60 off for a set.

I asked if these were included in the sale which started yesterday, and after about a half hour of computer price adjustments, I walked out with a $60 cash card. They could have been assholes and told me I purchased them before the sale date. I love that place. They do this sale about twice a year, and their prices are extremely competitive.

Free lifetime rotation, balancing and flat repair. Of which I have taken advantage of, on my two other vehicles, I have bought tires for, from them.

I am getting a set this weekend for my car. I can't complain at $300+tax installed for premium tires. I went in two weeks ago and the guy told me to hold off a few weeks for this sale :)

Hmm i just bought a set of BFGoodrich® Radial Long Trail T/A P265/65R17 less than 2 weeks ago for my Toyota 4runner.

I also am waiting for my BFGoodrich® Premier® Touring P185/65R14 tires to arrive at the store for installation.

I wonder if they will honor this deal if you already had them installed?

You can always go in and ask.
Costco is very customer friendly.

I'm going to call them today. The tires I"m still waiting to arrive are listed as a $40 off starting today.

The tires I got 2 weeks ago are listed under the $60 off.

Never hurts to ask. I bet they will honor $40 off ones, and possibly the $60 off ones. Let us know

Costco is never -- so far as I have found -- a good place to buy tires. I need a set of BF Goodrich all terrain 265/70/R16 and have been watching Sams Club, Costco (I am a member of both) and the usual commercial places. When the 60$ off deal surfaced I immediately checked with my local Costco and even with the $60 off they are a little over $50 higher than Sams Club. Costco seems to push Michelin -- but even then not a good price. They do have good seafood though.

BF Goodrich is owned by Michelin. I haven't price compared Sams Club as there isn't one near me. I'll check it out though

OK, just checked out Samsclub website, the Michelin Primacy tires I bought are $3 more per tire than Costco, without the $60 discount.

Well I called up Costco and they are going to credit me $60 for the tires I had installed 2 weeks ago (BF Goodrich) and $40 for the tires that I have yet to have installed.

She said Costco has a 30-day price guarantee (which I didn't know about).

I really love costco! :)

Michelin tires are generally very good, but also priced very high. There are always cash back sales on their tires because they are priced so high. If you find a deal at a Cosco or Sam's Club maybe even TireRack, you can take it to a place like Discount Tire and they will price match it and 10-15% off. Sam's club also matches TireRack.com prices. Could be a better deal if you go elsewhere, pricematch and get the 15% off.

My experience -- we got a new set of Michelins from Costco about a year ago. Tires are fine, but the installers didn't know what they were doing. Any savings we had were lost by having to get the tires remounted and load-balanced at the dealer. Now they are nice and smooth.

programmer, why didn't you take them back to Costco? Even a different Costco from where you bought them? I had a set that shimmied a bit after 200 miles, and they rebalanced them with no problem, slightly out of balance. Ran great after that.

You can take them back to any Costco, and they will service them no questions asked.

Terrible installers? It's a crap shoot anywhere you get tires, when you try to determine just who has the best installers. Risk your family's life? How so? Maybe a little steering wheel wobble from imbalance, not a life and death situation...in my eyes anyway.

Actually, we did go back to Costco, twice. Finally gave up and went to the dealer. They explained how they had not mounted the tires properly and no amount of balancing would make them "perfect". Fortunately the dealer has that great [Hunter?] balancing machine which told them to remount the tires first (to offset wheel and tires high and low spots), them balances them under load. Worked great and didn't cost that much (we've been going to that dealer for years so it only cost about $60 for all four wheels).
