Over the 10 years of my car's life, there have been various nicks/scratches along with dents all along the body. You can see it only if you're close enough to inspect the body...

Now I can't do anything about the small dents but how much does it cost to re-paint the whole body ? I'm just wondering because the car is otherwise in great condition and only at 90k miles.

Here, let me pull out my trusty Know-Everything book and look up every single car painting company in your area and list out prices and specials. Pick up your goddamn phone book and start making phone calls.

You're an idiot. Why do you persist on showing it ? Do you know what forums are for ? To ask the experienced or those who've gone through it to get an idea... without doing a lot of hunting yourself. Easy for everyone. Even easier - if you don't know, shut up.

Fuck you, man. If everything posted on these forums pisses you off why do you bother replying, or even remain being an active member?

I'm so tired of everyone being so dismissive and unhelpful around here, especially you, Nik. You're a complete waste of space.

It cost me $600 to repaint my 96 Integra a couple years back. A decent job but nothing super. They said that a factory paint job would cost about $2000.

Instead of sitting on your ass waiting for everyone else to do all your work for you (and potentially be wrong), why don't you do it? Think about it. What are you going to do, drive all the way over to Cornelius for one color coat and six clear coats for $400? No. You're going to go to some company near you. Is AT supposed to know everything about your community? No. Pick up a phone book. Make some calls. Find out for yourself.

macco ripps !! they say it'll cost like 299 for that ambassor crap but to strip the existing paint is additional, primer, etc is all additional.. when it's all done.. its like 1000+

Theres some really good shops that uses PPG paint and you can have them put multiple layers of clear coat.. and yeah expect upwards of 1500-3000 depending on how good you want it...

Apparently the ignore feature only works for PMs. :| I wish it worked on PMS.

haha, probably is PMS yeah. Find any local paint shops yet?

I mean Jesus. Fine. Give me your zipcode. I'll look them up. I'll take the time to call the local paint shops around you and make a nice perdy list of prices. What say you.

you should expect over 2k for a decent paintjob. somewhat close to factory paint (but not really :p)

but cheap - o paint job wont last long at all.

I dont think you should spend money into this old car. just clean it, do some touch up and keep it the way it is. and buy a new one with money saved :)

oh yeah , nik is a useless bird dropping between a dead squirrel's rotting toenail. :)

At least I'm not lazy and can help myself. Hell I even offered to do it all for him. It's not RH71 directly, either. It's all these monkies who ask the most stupid questions I've ever heard on AT and don't have the balls to actually do the research for themselves. They all whine and bitch when nobody helps them, but they're not willing to help themselves. :)

I'm still waiting for a zipcode!

A GOOD paint job like others have said is a good chunk of change.
Unless it is in real bad shape or a rare car, I doubt it is REALLY worth it.

First get this....
Paint clean
And do you car with that. When done use your fav. polish and I bet you will be about as happy with more money left to spend on things that matter, or even a new car down the road. :)
