About how much would it cost to fix a small dent in the rear drivers side door in a newer Expedition? it isn't too bad, and the metal isn't creased or anything, just a small dent.

If there is no damage to the paint, it costs 40-50 dollars for paintless dent removal to get the dent out.

The dent itself caused no damage...there was a little scuffing around the dent, but I'm 95% sure that will rub off...supposing it doesn't, how much are we talking?

I had a ding that went through the paint and I got an estimate at a body shop. They said 500 dollars.

one time my friend's car got keyed real badly, it was a navy blue 91' accord.

some mexicans in a truck drove right up next to us offering to fix the scratch for $50. it looked real shady to me already and i woulda said no right away but my friend was real cheap so he decided to take that risk......

the next day i see his car and the majority of the left side of his car (door, fender) was covered in sky blue paint that was horribly painted (you can see tell they used a brush). my friend demanded $100 in damages. the mexicans said, "OK." the mexicans never returned.

Hey there.

Now, what you want to do is ask around your area, see if anyone knows a good body shop. Preferably a little privately owned place, that're usually in the industrial section of town. The longer it's been there the better.

The trick is that when you go there, you say the three magic word: "I'll pay cash."

I had a b!tch in a Mercedes put a nice dent in my passanger door to the point where it wouldn't even open all the way. $650 later, dent's gone and the hood and a few side panels of my car have a fresh coat of paint.

From the damage you're describing, if it's just a small dent that can be knocked out (and you don't mind the slight budlge that'd make) you shouldn't be charged more than $100, tops. And even that's excessive. Anyway, best of luck to ya!

Did you try a apintless dent repair place? You'd pay 1/10th the price if they can fix it. If it can't be done with paintless dent repair, then you're stuck with the $840...
