i have a samsung ht-as720(home theater in a box) reciever that has a bad right front channel. ive tried everything and narrowed it down to the reciever. appearantly this is a common problem with this unit and can be repaired professionally. cost is around $140 from what i saw another poster online. is it worth it or should i just get a new one? i was satisfied with the sound quality but this thing is no longer under warranty.

there is nothing worth purchasing on CL(i just looked)...well can someone recommend something around $300 or less? i see some of these home theater in a box are around 400. should i just get another system or a reciever?

sell on ebay
kinda specialized knowledge, i have doubts its economical to repair unless you do it yourself.

Is the subwoofer with that HTIB powered? IF not, you'll need a seperate amp for it or maybe somehow rig up using a zone 2 channel to power it

I had the same problem a while back with a receiver of mine.I found a local shop that fixed it for under 50(I want to say in the 30ish range)Shop is called av electronics.Thats
American Vietnam Electronics.Anyway the young man that brought my unit out to me said that it's the repair they do most often on any type receiver(bad channel)So I would look for a local shop.My problem was caused by too many speakers connected to the receiver.
