Not really sure why they cannot simply compromise, pass what everyone agrees on, and then take the more radical parts of the legislation and put that to a vote.

There is so much in the legislation that does nothing for health care but just costs money like loan forgiveness for minority groups that go into the health care field. Yes, federal tax dollars are going for affirmative action. Why not just treat everyone equally?

But I digress....

The Pelosi bill is simply shit even if you agree with its core reforms.

Remarkable that the Right still claims any credibility- even more remarkable that they're actually believed by anybody other than the most blind, ardent fanbois.

Thanks to their efforts, banking, the economy and foreign policy are in shambles. The lasting jobs created under their watch are govt jobs, which showed more growth than at any time since the Great Society. The Constitution went into the toilet with Gitmo and domestic warrantless spying. Their healthcare model is in the process of doing a slow motion faceplant...

And their idea of "reform" is more of the same, harder and deeper. Maybe taking the States out of the equation will let health insurance go the way of banking... yeh, that's it, another looting spree. The days of health insurance, in its current form, are obviously numbered, so they'll try to squeeze out the last nickle... create the illusion of "reform" to stretch it out as long as possible...

Anyways, you know how you get the influence of lobbyists out of Washington? You take the power out of Washington, not give them significantly more powers.

They are not opposed to their lobbyists. Notice how he singled out Republicans. They want a corrupt centralized power, they just don't want to share it.

The denial in this post is strong. Railing against the right for being corporate whores while his heroes in congres craft a bill that will funnel hundreds of billions into the pockets of big business. This is of course after those heroes have already plowed hundreds of billions into big business.

Continue to plant your head in the sand. It is comical watching lefties defend neocon policy.

ESPECIALLY considering the laundry list of wealth in Congress with a D next to their name. They are the new party of the rich ;)

There's a fair amount of that going on, no doubt, and it's why there's so much compromise in the current proposal. OTOH, the part that the Righties fear the most, a govt option, is in there, and the whole thing may well pave the way towards a sane and sensible system along the lines of what every other first world country enjoys...

Remember what I offered wrt credibility? Pointing fingers at the other side doesn't give you any... but, uhh, go ahead, rest on your laurels, such as they are, and rave on about how "they're just as bad!", even though it's the usual hogwash...

Yep, the kind of people which brought you Iraq, the SS lock box and a disastrously disfunctional medicaid plan substantially unimproved for decades are going to get it right this time.

Snowe's comprimise of a trigger if premiums go up some 'X' percent will be the only way the Government Plan will get the 60 votes. Not sure who will put the hold on the bill but I'm sure 60 votes are needed for this to pass and I count 44 votes with the Government Plan bit in it...

What I find interesting is that both sides say that the majority of Americans support their side. WTF?

Repubs have apparently succeeded in muddying the waters with outright lies and distortions about "death panels" "rationing" and "big gubmint!", their all time fave...

Just follow the money, honey, and remember that they're out to "Defeat Obama!", regardless of the circumstances...

Hell, they were poised to vote down the military supplemental by joining with the more leftist dems, because Obama wanted it, just so they could claim a victory, any victory...

Is this response supposed to be taken serious? A govt option that will pave the towards a sensible system?

Perhaps in your bit of insanity you forgot what you wrote?

So while your heroes do exactly what you complain about. You are pointing at the opposite of the aisle and complaining about their actions. You should really decide where you stand.

Amazing what a super minority party can do. In this case pull the strings of their Democrat puppets and get them to funnel billions into big business.

Your post stinks of desperation.

I'm not a Rep and you didn't answer my points. You just decided to run with your script. You don't care about better health care. You care about screwing the other party.
