Does anyone have any idea as to the cost of removing an above ground pool?

Its probably 20' diameter x 4' high

Do it yourself

Drain = free ( or pop it and watch the fun if ut will drain away from the house)

Tear down = free ( harded to do uf there is extensive decking) Use a reciprical saw.

Dumpster = rent and they will deliver to you and you load the trash in and they will haul it away

If you're my dad, you pay my brother $100 to cut the thing into firewood with a sawzall. Then you throw the plastic liner in the back of the truck and take it to the dump.

Why would you pay to get rid of it? It should collapse to next to nothing.

As for draining, get out there and poke some holes in it. First day, go put some holes at 1 foot from the top edge. Second day, put some holes a foot lower. Just drain it slowly like that and your lawn will probably love it - or run a hose out to a storm drain etc and gravity will do the rest. Even with a regular garden hose, it'll drain out in about a day or two.

pump to storm drain in street?

Water the lawn.

thats a lot of watering

It'll go away after a couple of hours, but you're in NY, so I probably have a giant ice cube or will soon.

Syphon the water out and let it run down the storm drain, or do as suggested above and drill holes and progressively water your lawn. If you wait until the spring/summer, you can slowly drain the pool over the course of a month and save on your water bill by watering your lawn. You should be able to get a dumpster dropped off at your house on a Friday, cut the pool up and load it in the dumpster over the weekend, and have the company pick it up Monday. I definitely wouldn't pay someone to do the work unless I didn't have the equipment or time to do it myself. Even if you don't have the equipment, it will give you an excuse to buy a saws-all. A days worth of work will be a lot cheaper than hiring someone to do it for you.

I sold mine via classified ad and they took it down.

If its in too poor of a condition to give away, you can take it down yourself. But rather than pay for a dumpster, rent a uhaul truck instead. Unless its a hundred miles to the dump, doing this is much cheaper.

How much you sell it for?

IIRC about 25% of the cost for a new one.

who in the Fvck waters their lawn on the 8th of december?

I think it would mostly be folks who live the Fvck in Arizona or Florida or some other states that are way the Fvck South.
