I have the Option of interviews between UPS, and Citgo.

Ups is located in Louisville Kentucky (of course). what is the area around it like? and what is the cost of living around there?

and Citgo is in Lemont Illinois. what is the area around there like and what is the cost of living around there?

This is for a co-op in CPT, which is at Purdue, (Computer programming tech).

from a personal view UPS is a huge company with a ton of things possible, as is Citgo.

but which would be a better company do you feel in the long run? and yea. just looking for other opinions. those are the 2 companies coming to campus to interview.

bump, Kentucky is BYFAR cheaper to live in, but im not sure, i am able to interview with both, probably gunna put UPS as the higher priority. as im assuming money will be slightly better, and its such a massive company there is almost no limit to how long i can be there, and where i can advance too. Also, the benefits (ive heard of a few) are crazy.

does anyone else have input?

I wouldn't choose to like in Kentucky OR Illinois, I'm sure that's true of many posters. Hence, the lack of helpfulness.

Louisville, at least, has a lot of historical areas around it. Not a lot "going on", though, like much of the midwest. No mountains, no oceans, etc.

It's quiet, as things go. I don't recall the crime rate - not bad, I understand. Sister-in-law lived there, so we've been down a few times. The Shaker Village in Pleasant Hill (few hours out of town) is kinda cool.

I guess it depends on what you are interested in.

Give this site a try and see which of the two options comes up higher in the list for you.

i can, i just have to specify which is of higher priority. i believe UPS will be higher. just because benefits are amazing if my co-op leads to more than just a co-op.
