Cosmos RC-1000 Front Audio Jack Problem

trying to fix my front panel audio jack from my dismantled cosmos rc-1000. the headphones work but the mic jack doesnt. Any real way to troubleshoot and fix this?

Make sure the mic is sleected as the input device and that its not muted is the first step. Then check the connections. Make sure the wires are secure in there connectors and that its plugged into the motherboard the right way.

All points well taken with no change. I am guessing the jack is bad. Not TOO big of a deal but a pain in the ass to have to split my headset wires and run them to two locations.
