I can't believe this at all. The men at the apple store here are pretty gross. And yes, I mean gross even in comparison to your average PC geek. Also, there are a disturbing number of people who are so cheap that they go to charge their ipods / iphones / computers at the apple store on a regular basis.

most of the people i've seen in the apple stores here aren't gross at all. now the people hanging out at the dell kiosk. yikes. the apple store is a pretty trendy place to hang out, maybe because gamestop is at the other end of the mall.

Maybe they just seem gross in comparison to the nearby stores like Williams Sonoma and The Buckle. Time to do some testing in the field...

I remember that ZDTV channel, and they'd have that program with John Dvorak (the one guy who hates Macs), and one of the panel (a gay guy) commented on buying an iMac for his boyfriend.

Dude, honestly I wouldn't know, but I know that women in the 17-26 demographic swear by it for some reason.

It's another one of those lovely businesses to get into. Tell women that they're not pretty enough, and conveniently advertise products that will "cure" that affliction. It's a great racket to get into.

Incidentally, I was in a class with someone whose biggest goal in life (seriously) was to be a writer for Cosmopolitan.
"Aim for the moon, and you might hit the stars." And aim for the top of a desk, and you might hit the wall.

(Yes, she was a typical blonde sort. One of her speeches [effective speech class, this was] was about the wonderous benefits of tanning. Yes, it was rather painful.)

Perhaps PC makers could take some hints from Macs and spruce things up a bit, then charge a 50% premium... oh Wait...

Dvorak doesn't hate Macs anymore. Just so ya know. :)
