Aren't they changing it so you can use a cell inside a plane?

God I hope not. Listening to people who think they have to speak VERY LOUDLY in order for the person to hear them will probably lead to an increase in annoyance and violence (depending on the length of the flight). Now, allowing their use for purposes such as web surfing and texting is another story.

Wow, and all you fuckers were mocking me and telling me how stupid I was and shouldn't be driving when I mentioned in another thread that my 2008 RAV4 does THE EXACT SAME THING as what Wozniaks prius does. Good to know i'm not crazy.

I can only think of a few posters here that I would give a 0% credibility rating to like MJinZ, Fleabag, Louissss, Gayner, etc. Never argue with fools, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If cosmic rays were the problem, all cars would be having these problems. If it's just a Toyota problem, then it's 100% caused by bad engineering or bad assembly.

Not necessarily. There are ways to mitigate these effects, such as shielding the ICs, redundancy and error correction algorithms in the code. Airplanes have this, and possibly other car manufacturers.

In the IBM research they came up with a number that was really pretty astronomical for the probability of a cosmic ray causing a memory error. In fact the chances of it being the cause of the Toyota problem, as it affects memory, is impossible.

I was hoping these rays would give my car super powers.

So no invisible Toyota for me? :p

Perhaps they should have thought about testing all that cheap Chinese solder they bought. It's loaded with Ra-226, a powerful alpha emitter. Bit flips can be caused by this. ;)

But they will blame it stuff that comes from outer space. Far out, man! :p
