Shocker!

Norristown, Pennsylvania (CNN)Bill Cosby has been convicted of all three counts of against him in his indecent assault trial.

The jury reached its decision Thursday. The panel began deliberating Wednesday around 11 a.m.
Cosby was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004. The 80-year-old former comedian faces up to 10 years in prison on each count, but would likely serve them concurrently.

The jury deliberated for more than 14 hours over two days to reach the verdict.

Wow, from 2004, I wonder what evidence they had other than her testimony?

Read a little and is seems he admitted that he gave her an over the counter allergy medicine and it was brought out that he already paid the women in a civil suit 3.4 million to stay quiet. That all sounds suspicious but hard to say if that is what convinced the jury.

Prior testimony from 5 other women who were victims from the 80s and onward, that was used in the trial as "prior bad acts" to establish his pattern of assaulting women.

This should set the precedence for the rest of the Hollywood predators that continue to enjoy their freedom.

At 80 yrs old, I doubt he cares. I mean when you can die at any moment soon, won't make a difference. That's why old people do and say what they want.

Is over the counter allergy medicine really strong enough to incapacitate someone to the point of being able to rape them?

Speculation: maybe that's where the Quaaludes came in, or alcohol at the very least. IIRC codeine products used to be over the counter.

Well quaaludes is a different story but even with alcohol I just don't see what allergy meds would do. Sure it would make you drowsy but not "rapable" drowsy.

Do you get to stay out of jail during the appeals?

Cosby's attorney, Tom Mesereau, will probably ask the court that his client be given home confinement during the appeal, which could take months or even years, CNN legal analyst Joey Jackson said.
"I think he'll ask the court and do whatever he needs to, to have his client remain out at liberty until these issues are decided, whether it was appropriate to allow all those accusers to testify, and how prejudicial and unfair would that be," Jackson said.

The decision on Cosby's bail is up to Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill, who oversaw the case. His prior rulings suggest he may allow Cosby to remain on home confinement.

On Thursday, O'Neill dismissed the prosecution's plea to revoke Cosby's $1 million bail and remand him to jail. "I'm not simply going to lock him up right now," the judge said, citing his age and his track record of appearing at every hearing for two and a half years. "You are making a very big deal of something where there is a very high bail and he has appeared at every appearance," O'Neill said.
For now, Cosby is not permitted to leave his Pennsylvania home. If he does leave the state for another home, it would have to be arranged ahead of time and he would have to wear a GPS monitoring device, the judge ruled.

If O'Neill does allow Cosby to remain free during appeals, and the legal action lasts for years, then there's a question of whether the comedian's age and health will make that sentence moot

Wow. Considering the sheer number of accusers, we know he is guilty and he has now been found guilty by a jury that is pretty fucked up. Just goes to show how money makes a world of difference in how the justice system works in this country.

A poor person fighting the very same case would have likely been locked up this entire time because they couldn't afford bail and sure as hell wouldn't have got out of jail after being found guilty. Even if they could afford bail their shitty lawyer, or worse their public defender who had 30 minutes to prepare the case, wouldn't have been able to secure a deal like this.
