Read the article. Porsche spanked the Vett, lost because price. Why have 2 inferior cars for the price of a winner is beyond me.

Note that they took the $20k price difference into consideration. A few issues later they put the Boxster convertible above the 'vette convertible for the same reason.

I like them because they atleast admit thier biases, and will say something is crap if it's crap.

IIRC the 911 is actually new this year too.

But that's always the case. It's like what's better a porsche 911 or a super-suped up mustang. Obviously the money could go into the mustang to make it better but it's still a mustang.

I'd agree with you if you said it like this: take that 20K and invest it into getting a C6 Z06.

Then, it is still a completely stock Corvette, albeit quite a bit faster.

I am a fan of the Corvette. I think its obvious that C&D is WAYYY biased toward the porsche. For instance.

The Vette BARELY beats it in the quarter mile, if you take the average it only beat the Porsche by a tenth of a second, sad. I'm thinking in this stat, that the C&D drivers either cant drive the vette or are very biased. I think its because they're trying to make the Porsche look better when it should get beat soundly.

Also, the Z06 will use the same motor, bumped up to 500 hp and cost the same as the 911. I can guarentee that the 911 will get its a$$ handed to it once that comparison comes out. Even in braking, which was the only real performance stat that the 911 won out on.

The new C6 Z06 also looks a lot better IMO. I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one that notices how Porsche never changes the look of their cars, it looks the same now as it did 10 years ago, and the same then as 10 years before that. Very subtle changes. Some may argue that its because the 911 looks so good it doesn't need to be changed, I think its just sad, the Vette gets better and better and gains more ground on Porsche. Its just my opinion, but I would never buy a Porsche. Once I get over the $100 range, I would opt for a Ferrari or something else instead. They could never sell me a car.
