Never decelerate or down shift in a turn, lose power, lose traction. Always before or after. Obviously not a Grand tourismo player.

Downshifting is always done BEFORE you get to the turn.

WHAT??? that makes no sense.

it almost looks like snap oversteer, but i honestly see no indication of speed so i couldnt say anything.
 
The turn before the big wreck he kicks the tail out a little. Looks like he tried it again except with a little more throttle and the Vette had a bit more traction than he anticipated.

That's what you get in a RWD muscle car + not having good driving skills.
It actually takes some skill to go around a track fast, but that was a slow turn...
 
Watch the video again. The guy tries to miss a deer. He hits it. It is visible in the lower right foreground. It gets up and tries to walk, camera right, and then falls. You can clearly see it's 'white tail' in several frames.

Edit: No, I have not been drinking.

hey, I changed it from a sexist statement that would offend over half the population of earth to a racist statement that should only offend about one quarter of the population. I still call it a fix 😛

This is probably the wrong comment to make here, but aren't Asians and women more likley to go slower while driving, and aren't most corvette owners middle aged white guys.....

Yea some people don't know what they are talking about! 😀
Most vette drivers are indeed middle aged white guys or some rich teenager/young adult.

Asian guys don't always drive slow. I'm one of the fastest cars that goes through my area as I know if I hover around 10mph over the limit it wouldn't be too bad when I get caught.
Plus just about everyone here goes 10-15 over the limit (45) down this one road.
