At NewEgg they have two matched pairs of Corsair XMS DDR400, a Cas2 and a Low Latency. The readings on the Cas2 are 2-3-3-6-T1 and the Low Latency are 2-2-2-5-T1. Is the performance difference that great? The Cas2 is $261 and the Low Latency is $313, is the price worth it?

You don't say what your motherboard is.

Corsair makes great memory, but some boards don't play well with Corsair memory. Corsair TWINX 3200C2 was capped at 207MHz at 2/3/3/7 timings on my 8RDA+. The memory in sig system runs 2/2/2/5 to 222Mhz and 2.5/2/2/7 to 230MHz.

I've always been a Corsair fan, but this was an expensive mistake.

Check the motherboard-specific forums for what memory your board is most compatible with.

Hope this helps!

I have the C2 and it will not run at 2 2 2 6 /2 3 3 6 is right on the money for where I can run it. As for price the C2 is $239.00 at Outpost.com and $279.00 for the LL.

DOH your right wasnt thinking there, bottom line the difference between 2 2 2 5 and 2 3 3 6 isnt so big your gonna scream bloody murder either way. I say go with the C2.

Your not going to stick the LL in and see such HUGE performace difference that you want to call all your friends and brag hehehe. It may be faster but nothing that benchmarks really show as amazing.
