Some people will hate me, but I'll have to thread crap...

That's a great price for 2GB but let me tell ya I've had terrible luck with that memory on A64 setups (don't know about Intel boards). First kit that I got, one stick was completely DOA. Sent both back on RMA (to keep "matched" pair so they claim) and second set does not run at rated speeds. Tried on several different boards. FYI the working stick out of the first pair had no problems at rated speed of CAS 2 at DDR400. Second pair, one stick is at CAS 2.5 and second stick is at CAS 3 for DDR400. Don't want to waste more money shipping stuff back to them only to try my luck again at a pair that works as specified.

Oh yeah, and I still haven't gotten my rebate money yet and in 10 days it'll have been 3 months.

As y'all can tell, I'm a bit miffed.

NE specs say CAS 3.

Great price for 2X1 but be warned...these RAM is NOT overclockable. These are not to be confused with the XMS that ends with the C2 but the one that use Nanya chips.

Well...for $17 more you can get the Patriot RAM in my Sigy from NE which does run at CAS 2 T1 AND with a little bump in speed (e.g., 5% OC). All depends on if or not one wants to spend the extra $17;) Seems to me Corsair is slapping some "fancy" heatsinks on somewhat subpar RAM. IMO

Welcome to AT and thanks for the good post, blackout.

$114 for two gigs of RAM sounds good to me.

This memory works great on some motherboards but traditionally does not work very well on A64 DFI boards. Just check to see what others are using with your motherboard. The price is really goood if this memory is compatable with your motherboard. I use this with my DFI board: G. Skill DDR

It seems strange that when some individual ram does now work with a given MB usually the ram is blamed. Perhaps it is the MB that should be blamed for not working with standard ram. I have at least 20 sticks of this ram in several different A64 mb and have had no problems at. It does OC, perhaps not as well as some, but at least as well as most. Corsair has a web site to check on rebates, which in my experience, they always pay. I have never seen any Corsair ram that would not run at its published specs. Their specs clearly state the CL at various clock speeds.
