Hi,
Please help me chose new PSU.
My old Corsair 450VX died yesterday. :(
I need a new PSU.
I have limited budget with very limited choices.

Following PSUs are available here:
Corsair VS450 @Rs.2200/-
Antec VP450P @2800/-
Corsair CX430v2 @2900
Seasonic S12II 430 @4300/-

Only Antec got 2 years of warranty and rest have 3 years warranty.
Currently I have old Intel C2D system with HD5670 but in future I may updrate to the following.
AMD FX-6300/8230
AMD R9 270/Nvidia GTX960.

I've been running Antec VP-450 (unsure of the significance of the "P" at the end of that model code) PSUs, with both of my C2Q Q9300 rigs overclocked to 3.0 / 400FSB. I recently had to dial one of them back to stock, because it was freezing up. The PSUs are 3-4 or maybe even 5 years old. Unsure if the problem was PSU-related, but it doesn't seem that way, because my video card is a GT630 with only a 25W TDP.

If you're going with an AMD rig, I might just got with the Seasonic. Maybe even one wattage step up from that one. Do they offer a 520 or 530W?

Thanks for ur reply!

"P" may be for APF ?
This model is only for South East Asia I guess.
Like Corsair VS450 also only available in South East Asia.
Seasonic 620W S12II and Seasonic 520W S12II cost max Rs.6500/- and Rs.5500/- respectively.
But,my budget is limited currently.

The P to designate PFC which the older model did not have. The Corsair VS is below the CX. Might as well take the CX.

Please help me chose new PSU.
. . . I need a new PSU.

Corsair CX430v2 @2900

The Seasonic S12II 430 PSU is the best choice of the four as it should be more reliable than the other PSU's which use lower grade components.

Thanks for ur replies guys!

Seasonic S12II 430 is better but costly compare to other PSU mentioned.
If Corsair VS is good then only two choice left Antec VP450P and Corsair CX430v2 under my current budget.
If rice difference is not much which should I chose ?

I would take the CX430 if you are budget limited. I have 3 of them (2 v2's and an M) and they are very good... one of which is in my backup gaming rig and regularly pulls ~350w at the wall. I would agree the SeaSonic is the better unit, but you say you are budget limited.

At limited budget I got only two option Antec VP450P and Corsair CX430.
Now,Antec have two years warranty and no cable without sleeve.
But,Corsair got tree years warranty and got sleeve cables.....

Now,there is other option mentioned by Witty.
Online price is mentioned in the link is high.
But,if I get that Seasonic ECO 500 PSU @Rs.3000/- should I consider over Antec VP450P and Corsair CX430 ?

There is also Seasonic ECO 400W which will cost near Rs.2400/- I guess.

NOTE: I have top mounted PSU case. So PSU FAN must such air from the inside of the case and throughout in the environment.(I heard Seasonic Eco PSU work inversely)

Buy the CX430 or VS450, if you're really tight on budget.
Antec VP450P has two +12v rails, and single +12v rail PSUs are recommended.
There's a VS550 550w http://m.snapdeal.com/product/corsair-vs-550-smps/509795 ,It looks nice for the price.

I heard its not good.
If Antec is not good then only two choice left at budget Corsair CX430 and Seasonic Eco.

Thanks!
If price difference is very low then should I go for Seasonic ECO 500W instead Corsair CX430 ?

you would do better with the corsair....cx430v2....imho..it`s a gold rating and therefore more reliable ..even though it`s a little less power..it`s more sufficient load wise ..i have corsair`s in two of my machines and had no problems with them ...the vp supply is only a stock supply and is not even a bronze...the reason for gold series is simple it has far better regulation and is much better under load..the seasonic..i have never used we don’t have them where i shop for parts..i use local suppliers ..as i can always depend on the fact that i can go straight back to the store for my needs...but even so with the cx430v2 ..i think your cutting it a bit fine ..if you could go to 550 watt in gold series you would be doing yourself a favour...

The Corsair CX430 PSU is the best out of the three PSU's overall, but it is still not the ideal choice due to lower grade of components.

Just to clarify, the reliability of PSU's is dependent on the inherent design, quality of components, and quality of construction/assembly. The plus, bronze, sliver, gold, platinum, and titanium ratings relate to PSU power conversion efficiency only. There is no relation between reliability and efficiency.

A PSU can be platinum rated, for example, but may be unreliable due to lower grade components used.

The CX is the only one of the three that has a Japanese primary cap.

The CX has a longer history with the same DSAIII platform, so it seems the logical choice.
