Corsair vs. Crucial? Does anyone have a good input as to why I would choose one over the other besides crucial is cheaper. Any difference in performance?

well, I bought a 128 meg stick of PC133 from crucial over a year ago, and just recently, I screwed up and put in in BACKWORDS and it totally fried the ram and ruined the stick.

I called crucial, they told me to mail it in and gave me an RMA #, and less than 2 weeks later, I had a brand new stick of ram waiting for me when I got home from work. Crucial has MARVELOUS warranty and service. A lot of ram has a lifetime warranty, but nobody matches service like crucial.com. NOBODY.

Wow! How did you manage to get it in backwards? That must have been tough!

I had an MSI motherboard which for some strange reason has its ram slots backwards from every other motherboard I've ever used. And the keying didn't seem to matter because it popped in.

nothing like turning your computer on then here it make strange noises and then smell burning plastic and see smoke. always fun.

Corsair used to be cheaper than Crucial,
but now Crucial is cheaper than Corsair.

Corsair uses Micron ram chip but Crucial is Micron,
so which one do you think is better?
