Corsair Voyager Air

I'll be ordering a Corsair Voyager Air external hard drive later on today.

What decided me to get it was that it runs for seven hours straight on one battery charge, and it can be taken apart. It was the latter that decieded me because with the prices of SSDs coming down I can replace the Toshiba drive that is in it with an SSD which will extend the battery life considerably.

It is also cool because it has a lot of connection possibilities including LAN (WiFi and USB3). So I can use it with everything I have.

To me it seems like a huge premium to avoid a cord.
But you must have multiple wireless devices streaming from it.
How is the speed when more than one device is accessing the drive?

It would be a huge premium if I were to pay the full RRP or anywhere near it. It is however on offer at the moment.

From reports and reviews I have read it there are some minor issues when multiple devices are accessing the drive, this is not however an issue in my case.

While it is true that I have a number of wireless devices they will not be streaming from it simultaneously. It is not so much that I need something like this, it is however very convenient for my purposes.

What had put me off before was the price and the fact that I did not know if it was expandable. If it were a sealed unit I would have passed on it. As it is however that criteria has also been met.

dont like wifi at all when transfering large Data.

When you see the time difference between a internal wired vs wifi, you'll hate wifi as well.

It has nothing to do with like or hate. It fulfils a requirement niche for me that I can benefit from - end of story.

You also seem to think that you are speaking with a peon sonny. I've been a techie for 30 years now. So I know the various strengths and weaknesses of the different technologies.
