Corsair Vengeance Running at 1300 instead of 1600

Hi, so i noticed that my ram is running at 1300MHz instead of 1600MHz as it is supposed to do. I've tried setting the ram at 1600, but the system will not remain stable at that speed. Ram is running at 1.5V according to the bios, i havent messed around with the timings, can that be the issue, that the ram dosent support the timings it is set at?

I had a look in the manual of my mb, its an Asus p67-pro and it supports memory at 1600MHz, but all the supported memory sticks were set at a higher voltage then 1.5. Shouldnt my ram be able to run at 1600MHz at 1.5V?

thanks in advance for all help 🙂

That memory should run 1600 at 9-9-9-24 with 1.5 volts.
I also find that it will run at 1333 at 6-7-7-20 with 1.5 volts!

6X4 (24GB) configurations tested. All at 1T as well.

They are pretty good kits IMO.

The REXIII does not like them at 1600 though. 🙁

I have 8 gb of this mem running on the same board. It acted up at first but I have it running at 1600 very stable now. Turn off xmp.

If you have the latest bios, it should work fine just by setting it to XMP in the AI Tweaker. I would seriously test that ram with Memtest86+ 4.20.

I concur with the folks here. I have that exact same memory, and exact same motherboard. You need to set the timings to 9-9-9-24 to get it at 1600MHz.
