Corsair Value Select PC3200 vs. GeIL Value PC3200. Which is better?

Looking to buy ram for my nforce2 board (want to run it in dual channel), and I'm not sure which of the two to get. Want to run it in dual channel mode, at 215fsb, timings 2.5-3-3-11. They both cost around the same, and Corsair seems to be extremely popular, but the GeIL uses 5ns chips( their website said that) and Corsair uses 6ns (also some review website).

The last time I checked (a year ago or so) GeIL was new to the market and not very reliable. Now I'm not sure of their status. Any help?

IMO, when talking about value ram, go with whatever is cheapest. GEIL and Corsair are both decent brands. Now as for running 215mhz fsb with 200mhz ram, that may not happen with the value stuff. You're planning on OCing the ram, which is always YMMV.

The only reason I'm looking at GeIL is that its got better timings (as reported by the website), and it has a heatspreader. All I'm curious about is if their ram is as stable and reliable as Corsair. And if what I end up getting doesnt work at 215, I'll have no problem running at stock speed.

I've had bad luck w/ Geil Value ram I couldn't even get it to run at stock PC3200 speeds w/ 2.8V and the most relaxed timings possible and this was w/ 4 different sticks of 512mb, I ending up giving up and just going w/ the Corsair Value select which worked fine, Personaly I'd stay far far away from anything that has the words Giel and Value in it.... I've heard good things about their higher end memory but at least for me their Value series is total garbage, so I'd to w/ the Corsair.

Here's a vote for the Mushkin Value series. I have 2x512 @ stock voltage running 200, but I've pushed it as far as 225.

After reading more reviews, I've decided to go with Corsair. Thanks for the input guys.
